Australian Artist, Marcia Priestley' evokes an alluring narrative fluent with emotion using acrylic and mixed media application. Creating serene viewings, lyrical tones are sculptured and composed from longitudinal arrangements or pattern formation creating movement, body, texture & difference.

Tempering romanticism, realism, simplicity and energy, life is captured in her creative process often occurring with spirited meaning, shaping her symbolic and harmonious style.

My work isn’t simply about the subjects I paint—it’s about the story each piece holds beneath the surface. Every gesture, figure, or motif is a vessel for something deeper: a narrative thread, a remembered feeling, a provocation. The concept drives the composition. I’m less interested in perfect likeness and more drawn to evoking something intangible—an atmosphere, a tension, a moment suspended in thought. Ultimately, I’m interested in building pieces with a strong sense of character—works that feel alive and invite the viewer into a layered, emotional world.
